NML App for Android--Now on Amazon Appstore

I know what you're thinking. You need another place to get our apps, right? RIGHT?

Now you can get the NML app on Amazon's Appstore for Android! Click the giant logo to go!


Don't forget that all of you institutional users will need to take an extra step to generate an app login. Sign up for a free Student/Member Playlist Account through your institution's NML page. The login for that account is also your app login.

600,00 Tracks and Climbing!

What a great week this has been for the NOL Team!

Not only did we launch the Naxos Spoken Word Library App and welcome our 2,000th Twitter follower, but we also hit that wonderful 600,000 track marker!

To celebrate this milestone we've decided to spotlight a feature of the NML that will help you keep up with all of those additions!

The NML RSS Feed

Below you can find a step by step (and picture by picture) guide to using the RSS Feed available with the NML.

Adding as many albums per day as we do (sometimes, it's over 100 albums per day!) it can be tough to keep track of just how many new additions there are. The RSS feed includes every album added to the NML. For those who don't use RSS feed's currently, the page can feel a bit daunting...don't fret!

Thanks to the folks at www.feedicons.com for providing the icon to the left! Visit their site to download all shapes, colors, and resolutions of the RSS icon!



First, visit the "Home" screen in the NML. Simply click on the little house (see below). Then, click on the RSS Icon


In a separate tab, the window below will open. If you use an RSS manager, you'll know what to do here. You can also use the new version of Outlook to manage your feeds, and that's what I'll be showing below.

Next, Outlook will prompt you to "allow" the feed.

And voila! Every album added to the NML will now be available for you to quickly, and easily browse. I'll leave it to you to figure out how to use this information, but now you know how to get it!

Naxos Music Library iPhone App is Live!

Hi All,

The Naxos Music Library iPhone App is now Live! You are now able to listen to your personal and account created playlists on the iPhone and iPod Touch!

For more information on the "Nuts & Bolts" of how the app works, see this post.

Search the iTunes App Store for "Naxos Music Library" to download the Free App, or follow this link!

What a thrilling day for the world of classical music!

Here's a step by step walk-through from finding the app, to synching your device!

1. Enter "Naxos Music Library" ("Naxos" works too) in the iTunes store Search box.



2. Click on "Get App"



3. Enter your Apple ID, or create a new account. Download the App.


4. Once the App has been downloaded, ensure it's in queue to be synched up. I've taken a shot below of everything "as it should be". If you've installed an App from the iTunes store before, it's exactly the same as every App!

Once the App is Installed, it's time to make sure you have some playlists!

1. Visit the NML. If you are an student or member of an institution, you can visit your institutions unique webpage. Ask your Librarian, Account Administrator, or us here at Naxos if you have questions!



2. Any playlist in your personal folder, or account folder will be available. Below is a shot from a University account. Individual subscribers won't need to adjust anything, or log in a second time, to create playlists!




3. Oh, and lest we forget: The iPhone App, synchs both your Naxos Music Library, and Naxos Music Library Jazz playlists! Here's a screenshot of my iPod Touch. The playlist "Allison Wedding " (a very cool Jazz singer) , is an NMLJazz Playlist, while "Bernstien Mass" is an NML palylist.
